      The dancing finished. "Shall I get the jeep ?"
      "No, let's go there tomorrow morning, if there is time. I have a lot to think about tonight." I did have a lot to think about. International politics - that's me, Korean army politics - that's Colonel Kim and Captain Jang, and now Moon Hee herself is in the picture. Surely I'm not falling in love with this Korean woman, am I ? And she may be a spy too. And is she falling for me ? This is all too complicated. Then I remembered I had not tried the goodnight-kiss test. It was probably all those revolutionary posters on the dance hall walls that had made me forget, showing young people, with rifles on their shoulders, thrusting their country's flag forward. What a place.

      Next morning Captain Jang proudly announced that the new software had been installed and tested, and that I could see the system working that day. He must have made those poor software writers work all night. We went to the control room, and I saw several 'planes being simultaneously tracked, including their old Jindivik. They also tracked one of their new MiGs with a GPS receiver on board, which relayed its position, so that we could measure its accuracy, which was pretty impressive. Then I asked for two 'planes to fly together, but with one near ground level and the other several thousand metres overhead, and we monitored the radar signals. As I, and Captain Jang, suspected, there was virtually no difference, proof that we needed some other way of measuring the aircraft height. I could see the worried look on his face.
