Founded out of love and care for the needy, Kochola junior academy
and ophanage home hand of mercy is a project that was started
by the proprietor of the School and is that arm of the School
charged with the responsibility of executing the social
justice programs in the community vis-a-vis meeting the welfare
and social needs of the Orphans & vulnerable children, widows,
teenage mothers and HIV support programs.
Poverty, deaths caused by HIV/AIDs and other societal ills
in the community has left many children fatherless and total
orphaned with very little resources to support them.
The number of widows in the community has also been rising
due to the high prevalence rate of HIV/AIDs epidemics and
other diseases. This interferes with the schooling of most
orphans who cannot even afford daily meals, school fees and school uniform.
